Is it just me.. or are these numbers a little on the low side?
I mean.. April we didn't see a huge spike in hardware sales cause frankly GTA came out April 28th not giving enough time for the month... so we waited till May.. but may only brought ~200k consoles? I expected GTA4 to really push hardware sales for both consoles a lot more than ~200k...
I just expected more consoles sold..
EVEN.. IF it was real... 33 GBs is still a lot of space... A LOT.
IGN gave EVERYTHING a 10 but when it came to their lasting appeal they wrote this:
"Aside from the fact that the cut-scenes bear repeated viewing, you’ll want to play through MGS 4 again and again, simply to unlock ever more exotic weapons, items and player rankings."
but they give it a 9.5... If you love a game so much that you go as far as to say that you'll want to play it over and over and over again... and it you give it a 9.5...?! Simply.. wtf?!
You got to think of this movie as a 'test run'.
You put a decent budget for just Dragonball... if it does real good... Then expect an even bigger budget to make Dragonball "Z".
1.7 - No game should be compared to MGS4 because MGS4 is on a whole different level.

Remember, this is only in the "DragonBall (DB)" universe. Not dbZ.. The main 'boss fight' is going to be Piccolo vs Goku. Unlike DBZ which Raditz begins, and then Vegeta, Freezer, and Buu.
For me, I think their starting with the DB universe just to see how this movie does. If it flops, we will not be seen a DBZ movie. If it does pretty decent, then we will see a Vegeta VS Goku fight with like a 300 million dollar budget.
I bought this game when it launched. Been playing it ever since and loving it. But when they say "framerate issues, and texture pop-ins" ... sure whatever, happens in everygame right? NO no no... When they mean framerate issues, they MEAN FRAMERATE ISSUES. It is unbelievable how bad the framerate is in this game. I promise you, one time I'm shooting an enemy like 10 M away... next thing you know freeze, and 2 seconds later he is right in my face, no lie.

I just looked at the screen shots... This is by far one of the worst comparisons I've seen.... lol Honestly, there pics weren't even close to being in the same location or having the same gun... pitiful.. AND they weren't even direct feed... just a fine digital camera..
I hate most of these screen shot comparisons.. I would only like them if there were exactly the same shot or almost the same shot on both systems...
BUT I would rather see comparisons on some good old HD Video from good old gametrailers :)
I actually thought about that once Bonsai... then I thought about all those hardware companies that aren't involved in software. SO yea, hardware needs to be profitable some way.

Game looks awesome though. Played the PC Demo and it just plays beautifully (Never played a COD game either) .. but 5 hrs for the single player? I was debating whether to buy or rent the game but now it looks like I'm renting and buying Mass Effect.. :)

I played the PC demo and the game plays and looks awesome... All consoles/pc look identical... But isn't practically everyone saying that the PS3 version is better?

Totally agree with Segamer. MS created a system where it made buying games a competition. That strategy is working beautifully. Achievement points for games is such an ingenious idea that I thank MS for doing that.
If Sony wants that attachment rate that the 360 has, they gotta create a system similar to the achievement points. I don't think that whole trophy room BS is going to be as impacting as a gamercard. But we will see.
Guys, I completely understand and agree with ya'll but at the same time, you guys are acting like all PS3 SKUs won't support BC. When the fact of the matter is, only ONE model doesn't support BC which is the 40gb.

I got 11/14 and only because I recognized some of the pictures/screens.
I told my moms to do it and she got 3/14 and my dad 7/14.
It had me fooled, it was just cause I recognized the screens, some said HD GT on em, but if they had like exclusive pics.. most peoples numbers would have gone way down.
Duuuude, thats exactly how I feel. LOL... I use my PS3 a lot and go online all the time. I want xBox Live, but damn, I do not want to pay extra for that. What happens the second, third and fourth year? $200 for something I have free on the PS3... Thats why if its a multiplat game I want and it has online... I get for the PS3 since free online play.

Yo aren't MS going to bundle COD4 in with their 360? Can someone verify this for me, I seen it somewhere but I aint sure if it was for real or not... If that is true, I'm very dissapointed in Sony not taking advantage of 'a-sure-game' next to Halo of course.
If they could've bundled that with the 40gb.. it would of sold easily. Big props for MS if they did end up working with Activision to distribute COD4 into a 360 bundle.
Who ever doesn't think that this feature is NOT going to make its way to the PS3 is just plain dumb.
The question is not IF but when.
PS: I know the feature may seem mundane to some and trust me when I say this: You might think you aren't going to use the feature but you will. It really is a cool and big addition. (Unless you don't have a headset and/or hate to talk in online games)
